Samantha was recently seen in Swing! (The Gateway) as the Lindy Hop and Country Swing feature, and was co-dance captain with her dance partner Brian Lawton. Also alongside Brian, she is the Associate Director/Choreographer of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Samantha's love of partnered dancing has been used in pre-production with Andy Blankenbuehler for Bandstand (Broadway, Papermill), and with Lynne Taylor-Corbett in her new musical Part of the Plan (TPAC).
Swing Dance/Lindy Hop, Ballroom, and the
Together with her husband and dance partner, Samantha and Brian have traveled the world from the U.S. to Paris, London, and India teaching and performing their speciality, the Lindy Hop. They also bring their speciality to the world dance company, The Vanaver Caravan. The two can be seen bringing Lindy Hop to the Red Hot Chili Peppers music video "Go Robot".
It was at NYU/Tisch School of the Arts' Dance Department and Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Austria) that Samantha's passion in contemporary, modern, and experimental work grew. Samantha was a Vegas finalist for So You Think You Can Dance, Season 5. Samantha has performed work by Gus Solomons jr. (SADC) Deborah Jowitt (SADC), Netta Yerushalmy (Red Hot Chili Peppers music video), and Trisha Brown (Whitney Museum).
Samantha has performed on her own set of special wheels, adding atmosphere and entertainment to corporate events. Her parents are excellent skaters and met at a skate rink. It's in her blood!
